About this opportunity

The City of South Salt Lake is seeking proposals for a comprehensive audio and visual system upgrade at the South Salt Lake Community Center Auditorium through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process. The project encompasses extensive upgrades across three primary areas: the stage, auditorium, and hall, including replacement of speakers, projectors, microphones, cameras, and installation of advanced audio-visual infrastructure. Specific deliverables include four ceiling speakers, two music speakers, one projector with long throw lens, a rear-projection screen, wireless microphones, a PTZ camera, an assisted listening system, and touch controllers. Evaluation criteria will prioritize the fee and budget breakdown, understanding of project objectives, proposer qualifications and experience in relevant audio-visual projects, and project timeline. Proposers must demonstrate proven experience in audio-visual installation, proficiency with industry-standard methods, and strong communication skills. Key dates include January 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM as the final date to submit questions, with proposal submissions due by January 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM MST. Proposals must be submitted as a single PDF to aandrus@sslc.gov or through the Utah Public Procurement Portal and Bonfire platform.

The RFP documentation does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on participating organizations. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the available documents. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, potentially award multiple contracts to qualified proposers, and waive any informalities deemed in the City's best interest. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the proposal requires proposers to submit a detailed, itemized cost breakdown by service. The project involves comprehensive audio-visual upgrades that include HDMI inputs in the audio rack and under the stage, capabilities for audio and video export for streaming and recording, and DJ bypass functionality. Proposers will need to demonstrate technical expertise in audio-visual systems and provide comprehensive documentation including business information, work examples, a detailed project proposal, and a complete cost analysis to be considered for the contract.
