About this opportunity
The City of Woodstock, Georgia is soliciting bids under RFB 2027-06 for Streetscapes VI, Towne Lake Parkway Phase II, with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on November 3, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. via GoToMeeting and bids due December 1, 2026 at 10:01 a.m. Bidders must hold active Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) prequalification before bid submission, and subcontractors must be prequalified or registered with GDOT. No small or disadvantaged business set-aside applies.
The addendum changed three items. The pre-bid meeting, originally a mandatory virtual session on October 29, was rescheduled after technical difficulties and is now non-mandatory. Questions are now due November 10, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., replacing the November 5 deadline. The public bid opening moved from December 1 to December 14, 2026.
The work covers site preparation and grading, 250 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 365 linear feet of curb and gutter, 68 square yards of driveway reconstruction, 46 linear feet of 18-inch storm drain pipe with one catch basin, removal of a 30.5-inch diameter oak tree, 270 square feet of brick pavers, and erosion and sedimentation control. Work is on Towne Lake Parkway from Mill Street to Main Street in Woodstock, Cherokee County, and must meet City of Woodstock and GDOT standards.
Contract requirements include completion within 90 consecutive calendar days of Notice to Proceed, liquidated damages of $250 per calendar day of default, and a one-year warranty upon satisfactory completion. Bidders must submit a 5 percent bid bond or certified check. The successful contractor must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds, general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, workers' compensation, and manufacturers' and contractors' liability coverage. Payment is by progress payments after 30 days of completed work, with 5 percent retainage. Pricing must be itemized and valid for 60 days after submission. Respondents must submit non-collusion, E-Verify, drug-free workplace, debarment and suspension, conflict of interest, and non-segregated facilities certifications.
Award is anticipated within 60 days of bid opening. Questions go through Bid Net Direct by November 10, 2026. Martyn Detz, Purchasing Manager, can be reached at 770-592-6000, Extension 1205.
