About this opportunity
Lake County Schools District in Florida is requesting bids on disposable paper products for warehouse stock under ITB 26-0803-B-TF969, with bids due August 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST and samples due by August 20, 2026. A local vendor preference of up to five additional points applies to bidders with a fixed office or distribution point in Lake County for at least twelve months, employees residing in Lake County, or ad valorem tax payments to the district. Group Purchasing Organizations and distributors are not eligible.
The scope covers five paper product categories: facial tissue (500 cases), multi-fold paper towels (1,800 cases), single-fold paper towels (8,500 cases), toilet tissue (2,500 cases), and disposable wipers (900 cases). The district specifies preferred brands (Cascades Pro Select for tissue and paper towels, Victoria Bay for toilet tissue, Pristine Clean for wipers), but vendors may propose alternate brands matching quality, size, durability, and thickness; samples of alternate products must be submitted for evaluation. All five items must be bid to be considered for award. Stock will be ordered on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed quantities.
The projected annual expenditure is $540,250, with pricing firm throughout the initial one-year contract term. The successful bidder will receive an initial one-year term with two optional one-year renewal periods. A single vendor will receive the award based on best overall cost savings across the entire lot. All pricing must be net, include FOB destination, and cover delivery to designated School Board locations; submissions are accepted only through VendorLink. The bidder must maintain a minimum 97 percent on-time fill ratio and stock all bid items in inventory. Questions were due August 10, 2026. Addendum 1, issued August 12, 2026, clarifies that price escalation is not permitted quarterly; annual adjustments are subject to School Board approval. Recommended awards will be posted September 4 with final Board action anticipated September 28, 2026.
