About this opportunity
Jordan School District is requesting bids to provide and install a Daktronics LVN-2010-252X504-5.9MN-MA-CNTLRM-SR-LT LED video wall system at Bingham High School under IFB #27CA01, with bids due September 14, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. MDT and a mandatory pre-bid walkthrough on September 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. MDT.
The video wall must meet specified performance parameters: minimum 252 lines by 504 columns matrix, maximum 5.9mm pixel pitch, minimum 1500 nits brightness, 100,000-hour LED life expectancy, and 3840 HZ refresh rate. The contractor must provide all materials, labor, equipment, software, programming, training, commissioning, a trim kit, four extra modules with comprehensive spare parts, and live streaming capability. Addendum 1, issued September 3, 2026, clarifies that the video wall contractor is responsible for providing and installing a video wall controller or verifying the existing controller has necessary outputs to operate a second wall, and for all connections, programming, and labor to fully integrate the new system with the existing installation and create mirrored imaging between walls. The contractor must also protect the gym floor with plywood under lifts during installation.
Bidders must hold a minimum of five years of experience as a licensed Utah contractor. Bids exceeding $50,000 require a bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid price from a surety licensed in Utah with an AM Best Rating of A-VIII or better. The successful contractor must furnish performance and payment bonds equal to the total bid price before commencing work. All pricing must be guaranteed for 90 days and quoted without sales tax (JSD is tax-exempt). Substantial completion is required by December 7, 2026. Liquidated damages are $500 per calendar day for missed deadlines.
Evaluation occurs in three stages: Stage 1 assesses responsiveness to mandatory minimum requirements including bid bond, boycott certification compliance, and pre-bid walkthrough attendance; Stage 2 evaluates technical compliance with specifications; Stage 3 awards the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Questions are due September 8, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. MDT through U3P Bonfire. Contract award requires Board of Education approval at the September 22, 2026 meeting if the purchase exceeds $80,000. This is a single purchase order for one-time installation with no renewal options.
