About this opportunity
Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 in Texas is requesting sealed bids for the Corley Diversion Project under IFB 26-009/KKJ, with bids due July 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST and a mandatory pre-bid conference on June 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST at the District's main office in Beaumont. The project is federally funded through the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department via the Texas General Land Office under contract #24-065-004-E161 and subject to CDBG Regional Mitigation Program regulations (24 CFR 570).
Bidders must comply with Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Employment Opportunity requirements, and Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. The District includes provisions for contracting with small, minority, and disadvantaged firms, though specific set-aside or participation goals are not stated.
Project specifications are available on the District's webpage at http://www.dd6.org/purchasing/bid-specs/bids. Sealed bids must be submitted in original form with three copies to the District Administration Office in a sealed envelope marked with the bid name and number. All contractors and subcontractors must maintain active System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration and must not be debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from federal assistance programs.
Successful bidders must furnish a bid security equal to five percent of the total contract cost in the form of a bid bond from a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, and a performance bond for the full contract amount within ten days after contract signing. The District will publicly open and read all bids aloud in the boardroom on the due date, and bidders are invited to attend. Written questions regarding bid requirements must be submitted to Karen K. Johnson, Chief Business Officer, at kjohnson@dd6.org by Monday, July 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM CST.
