About this opportunity
Texas Woman's University is requesting proposals for hotel accommodations to house students during Fall 2026 semester at its Denton campus, with proposals due August 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST through the Oracle Supplier Portal and evaluation on August 7, 2026.
The scope calls for up to 20 double-occupancy rooms (40 beds) for approximately 21 nights, from August 17 through September 7, 2026, with the actual number of rooms and nights subject to adjustment based on university needs. Hotels must be located within a six-mile radius of TWU's Denton campus at 304 Administration Drive, with preference for locations within four miles or less. Mandatory amenities include non-smoking double-bed rooms with internal hallway access, complimentary parking, free laundry facilities, complimentary meeting and activity rooms, free wireless high-speed internet, one complimentary staff room, and rooms cleaned every other day. Preferred amenities include a business center with free computer use and printing and complimentary breakfast. TWU reserves the right to award in whole or in part to one or more proposers and may extend pricing to all three TWU campuses (Denton, Dallas, and Houston) during the contract period.
Evaluation criteria total 100 points: price proposal for room rates (25 points), room and building amenities (25 points), safety and crime records for the past three years (30 points), and proximity to campus (20 points). Safety and security reports showing all crimes within a five-mile radius for the past three years will be reviewed by TWU Police in conjunction with Denton Police Department. Pricing structures must separate non-smoking double-occupancy room rates; all additional facility fees are the responsibility of individual students. TWU, as a state agency, is exempt from Texas sales and federal excise taxes. Questions are due July 24, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST, with responses provided by July 28, 2026. Award recommendation is expected by August 10, 2026.
