About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a qualified vendor to continue the statewide public awareness campaign "Be Wildfire Ready". The campaign aims to prevent human-caused wildfires and protect residents and visitors from the increased wildfire threat. The vendor will be responsible for conducting campaign research, creating a marketing plan and strategy, following branding guidelines, creating campaign collateral, and managing and implementing the project. The campaign is expected to launch on February 1, 2023, and the contract term is January 2023 through December 2023, with the option to renew annually for up to three additional years. The RFP seeks a vendor to demonstrate their firm's capabilities and qualifications to perform the required services. The evaluation will be based on a combination of cost and technical evaluation scores, with the responsive and responsible vendor with the highest aggregate score receiving the award.
The RFP is open to any qualified vendor, and the incumbent agency, BowStern, is eligible to win the new contract. The campaign will utilize existing branding and pre-existing creative elements, and the vendor will be responsible for refreshing or creating new creative as needed. The estimated budget for this campaign is $1,000,000, with approximately 9.5% allocated for campaign research, marketing plan development, and content creation, and approximately 90.5% allocated for media buys and advertising placement. Vendors must be prequalified to do business with the state and registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system.
