About this opportunity

The state and local contract opportunity, identified by ID 67f7ab09aa556f4bce082bce, involves a fiber relocation project for the Cherry Creek School District (CCSD) in Denver, Colorado. The procurement is specifically focused on replacing a single Zayo 10gb fiber connection currently serving the Education Service Center (ESC), which is being demolished as part of the district's 2024 bond construction of a new Cherry Creek High School. The project requires relocating or replacing the existing internet circuit to the Transportation West Building (TRW) on the same campus, with an approximate distance of 1,100 feet between the old and new demarcation points. The contract opportunity was posted on February 21, 2025, with proposals due by March 21, 2025, providing a 30-day window for potential vendors to prepare and submit their responses. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the project appears to require technical expertise in fiber optic infrastructure relocation and internet connectivity solutions for educational facilities.

The contract opportunity does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent organizations. No information is provided about disadvantaged enterprise requirements or preferences. The incumbent vendor appears to be Zayo, the current fiber service provider for the Education Service Center. The existing infrastructure involves a 10gb fiber connection that must be carefully transferred or replaced to maintain continuous internet service during the school district's construction project. No specific budget range or award value is mentioned in the available documentation. Potential vendors will need to demonstrate capabilities in fiber optic network design, installation, and migration with minimal disruption to the educational institution's operations. The project's scope suggests a need for precise technical planning and execution to ensure seamless connectivity during the infrastructure transition.

Opportunity text

As part of the Cherry Creek School District (CCSD) 2024 bond the district is building a new Cherry Creek High School (CCH) on the existing campus. To make way for this new building and keep the current CCH buildings in operation during construction, the Education Service Center (ESC) is being demolished. The building currently houses a single Zayo 10gb fiber connecting it to the internet. This circuit will need to move or be replaced with a new service at our Transportation West Building (TRW) on the same campus. Distance from the old demarc to the new is approximately 1100'.
