About this opportunity
The State of Illinois, through the Department of Human Services (DHS), is procuring an emergency contract for temporary staffing assistance for non-medical positions such as housekeeping, dietary, laundry, and data entry staff at DHS's 24/7 facilities in the Divisions of Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, and Rehabilitative Services. DHS is issuing this 90-day emergency contract to maintain critical operations due to significant absences in their central office procurement staff. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is being prepared and will be published to competitively select a vendor for these services. The expected contract term is from September 29, 2021, to December 27, 2021, with an estimated total expenditure of $495,000. The contract will be funded through state appropriated funds.
The procurement is open to all qualified vendors, but the contractor must adhere to the requirements of Executive Orders 2021-22 and 2021-23, which mandate certain COVID-19 precautions, including the use of face coverings, COVID-19 vaccinations, or testing, as applied by the Agency. DHS selected the only vendor contacted that could provide the required staffing titles for all their 24/7 facilities and schools. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no information is provided on any incumbent vendors or current contractors.
