About this file

This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement issued by the Illinois Chief Procurement Office. It describes an emergency procurement of temporary staffing assistance for non-medical positions such as housekeeping, dietary, laundry, and data entry staff at the Illinois Department of Human Services' (DHS) 24/7 facilities in the Divisions of Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, and Rehabilitative Services. DHS is procuring this 90-day emergency contract to keep these critical services operational due to significant absences in their central office procurement staff. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is being prepared and will be published to competitively select a vendor for these services.

The expected start date of the emergency contract is September 29, 2021, and the expected end date is December 27, 2021, with an estimated total expenditure of $495,000. The contract will be funded through state appropriated funds. DHS selected the only vendor contacted that could provide the required staffing titles for all their 24/7 facilities and schools.
