About this opportunity
The City of Alpharetta, Georgia is accepting bids for City Center, Park Plaza Parking Garage repair and maintenance under Invitation to Bid 23-007, with bids due April 20, 2023. Work includes joint sealant replacement, epoxy injection of cracks, traffic coating replacement, routing and sealing of slab cracks, and partial depth concrete repair on vertical and overhead surfaces. The project duration is six weeks, performed during daytime hours within Alpharetta.
The scope addresses high-priority maintenance needs identified in a November 2021 condition assessment by Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., to ensure structural stability and safety. Parking restrictions will be implemented level-by-level; approximately ten spaces on level 3 will close during traffic coating cure time (5–7 days), with contractor daily restoration of access upon completion of work on each level.

Competing bids were Southern Preservation Systems at $123,273.25 and Restocon Corporation at $148,767.00. Metro Waterproofing's qualifications were verified through reference checks with Emory University, VA Atlanta Administration, and Notting Hill Parking Deck, all confirming recent relevant experience with parking structure repairs including sealants, traffic coating, and structural work completed in 2022.
Funding is allocated from Facility Improvements account 30141100 at $74,518.00 and Non Allocated Capital at $10,957.00. The project is not included in the current fiscal year capital or operating budgets.
