About this file

This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation to Bid issued by the City of Albany, Georgia (Central Services Division) for the Driskell Park project (Ref. #23-007) dated October 18, 2022. The addendum revises the original bid documents through updated drawings, specification clarifications, and responses to bidder questions. Key revisions include modifications to site plans reflecting updated grading of the community garden location, new storm inlet A13A with corresponding drainage line callouts, revised ADS Underground Storage Design based on new drainage areas, and updates to architectural and site details including concrete curb walls, water pump pads, and backflow preventer pads. Specification revisions address Section 000004 (Supplementary Conditions) regarding facility closures, Section 096519 (Resilient Tile Flooring), and Section 096816 (Carpeting). The addendum clarifies that the entire park will remain closed during construction and that the existing Pool Building must remain closed and inaccessible to the public throughout the project duration. Bidders were required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms at submission.

The addendum addresses six bidder questions concerning shock pad requirements, GMax ratings for turf systems (not to exceed 165 G's for the entire system and less than 90 G's for the shock pad alone), turf system specifications, resilient flooring and carpet tile specifications, bathroom base material (porcelain tile rather than rubber base per Sheet A9.00), and clarification that "Other Acceptable Manufacturers" products listed do not require architect approval prior to bid day. Supporting documentation including stormwater calculations, updated specifications, and revised drawings are available through the provided Dropbox link. The addendum was issued by Ricky Gladney, Buyer, for the City of Albany's Central Services Division.
