About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five is requesting technical and price proposals for the Central Florida Rail Corridor (CFRC) Track Improvements - Multiple Locations contract. The project involves track enhancements and repairs at various locations along the CFRC, including universal crossovers, rail renewal, grade crossing surface rehabilitation, and maintenance of way storage track. The scope of work requires the deployment of resources, construction, and track protection services. Qualified vendors must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketplace system and properly licensed if the services require it. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on September 4, 2024, and proposals are due by October 2, 2024. FDOT intends to award the contract to the responsive and responsible vendor submitting the lowest price proposal with a passing technical proposal.

The contract is open to all qualified vendors, and there are no specific set-aside designations. However, FDOT will give preference to veteran-owned businesses and firms with certified drug-free workplace programs. The incumbent contractor has been providing these services for the past 5 years. FDOT has a total budgetary maximum of $5,000,000 per year for this 3-year contract. The contract will be subject to a 1% MyFloridaMarketplace Transaction Fee, and compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other nondiscrimination statutes is required.
