About this file
This document is a CFRC General Order and Timetable and Special Instructions No. 2 issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five for the Central Florida Rail Corridor (CFRC) Track Improvements - Multiple Locations project. The general order outlines changes to physical track characteristics, including the addition of a double-track universal crossover, new absolute signals, and the removal of a switch machine at CP North Kissimmee. The timetable changes include a revised track diagram and instructions for restricted equipment movements. The related state and local contract opportunity solicits Technical and Price Proposals for the CFRC Track Improvements - Multiple Locations project, with a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on September 4, 2024 and proposals due on October 2, 2024. The contract is located in Volusia County, Florida and is funded by FDOT District Five.
The solicitation document does not provide details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding amounts or sources. It does note that the contract is subject to the 1% MFMP Transaction Fee and that respondents must comply with nondiscrimination statutes and authorities, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
