About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration Franchise Acquisition Services is soliciting proposals for the installation of a new 18-inch high raised access floor system covering approximately 2,982 square feet in the Control Wing Basement at the Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center in Longmont, Colorado. The project scope includes constructing two ADA-compliant ramps and stairs, building a 9'-6" partition to enclose the raised floor system, installing a Signal Reference Grid (SRG), removing an existing nonconforming east door, and providing a new door within a 2-hour rated alcove. Contractors must comply with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, EPA and OSHA regulations, and FAA standards, with all personnel requiring facility access vetting and proper identification. The government will evaluate proposals based on price reasonableness and the offeror's past performance information, with award anticipated to the lowest-priced, responsible bidder. The proposal due date is January 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM CST, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for January 7, 2026, at 9:30 AM MST, and questions and answers were last updated on January 20, 2026.
This solicitation is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside with no incumbent contractor identified in the available documentation. The estimated contract value ranges between $250,000 and $500,000, and the successful contractor must commence performance within 5 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed and complete all work within 30 days. Key technical requirements include installing a Tate ConCore 1250/FS200D raised access floor system (or approved equal), static dissipative rubber and carpet tile finishes, comprehensive electrical and communications modifications, fire stopping measures, and a grounding system with copper mats and perimeter grounding wire. The work encompasses demolition of existing infrastructure, installation of handrails, relocation of power outlets, light switches, fire extinguishers, and exit signs to meet code-compliant heights. All work will be performed at 2211 17th Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501, with strict coordination required with FAA personnel and weekly progress meetings mandatory throughout the construction period.
