About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a renovation project for the FAA Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in Denver, Colorado, located at 2211 17th Ave., Longmont. The project involves installing an 18-inch raised access floor system (approximately 2,982 square feet) and Static Reference Ground (SRG) in the Control Wing Basement. Key scope elements include constructing (2) ADA-compliant ramps and stairs, building a 9'-6" partition to enclose the raised floor, and replacing the existing east door with a new 2-hour rated door alcove.
The project requires comprehensive electrical, communications, and safety modifications, including relocating power outlets, light switches, light fixtures, fire extinguishers, and exit signs. Specific technical requirements include installing static dissipative rubber and carpet tiles, providing wall and floor-mounted handrails, implementing fire stopping measures, and establishing a grounding system with copper mats and perimeter grounding wire. Contractors must comply with EPA, OSHA, Fire Marshal, NFPA regulations, and FAA standards, and all personnel must be vetted for facility access with proper identification. The work demands strict coordination with FAA personnel, weekly progress meetings, and continuous facility protection throughout the construction process.
