About this opportunity

The Bureau of Land Management Colorado State Office is soliciting quotations for herbicide treatment of invasive saltcedar vegetation on public lands in Socorro County, New Mexico, with proposals due September 6, 2026. This procurement is competed exclusively among Blanket Purchase Agreement holders under the U.S. Forest Service Land Management Integrated Resources (LMIR) BPA; small business set-aside status was removed by Amendment 0001 effective August 28, 2026, converting the requirement to open competition among BPA holders. Questions are due within seven calendar days of solicitation issuance (August 28).

Place of performance spans four prioritized treatment areas totaling approximately 28 mapped acres across Socorro County, though actual treatment encompasses approximately 9 acres. Priority 1 (7 acres near San Antonio) and Priority 2 (1 acre) involve cutting, spraying, and removal of saltcedar; Priority 3 (4 mapped acres with less than half-acre actual treatment) and Priority 4 (16 mapped acres with less than 4 acres actual treatment) require spray application or retreatment. Contractor travel to support the requirement is mandatory. Period of performance runs September 25 through November 24, 2026, with delivery FOB Destination.

The contract is firm fixed price under FAR Part 12, requiring riparian cut-stump herbicide application services per the Performance Work Statement.
