About this opportunity

This Special Notice was published by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Johnson Space Center. The notice announces a Draft Request for Proposal for the Orion Main Engine opportunity. The agency seeks proposals to design, develop, certify, produce, deliver, and support the Orion Main Engine to power the Orion spacecraft for future Artemis missions.

Prospective offerors are invited to submit written comments or questions on the draft RFP by January 21, 2020. To be eligible, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management database and meet equal employment opportunity requirements. The final RFP and associated documents will provide additional details on the engine requirements and certification processes. The objective of this pre-solicitation notice is to allow industry to review and comment on the Orion Main Engine requirement prior to final solicitation, in order to verify feasibility and promote full and open competition.

This is a modification  to the synopsis entitled Orion Main Engine 80JSC020OME which was posted on December 20, 2019. You are notified that the Draft Request for Proposal Question and Answers Part 2 is posted.

The due date for responses not extended.

Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet.  These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.  Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
