About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking a service-disabled veteran-owned small business to provide a public address (PA) system for the New Boston Space Force Station (NBSFS) in New Hampshire. The new PA system must be able to receive Common Alert Protocol messages from the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) computer and integrate with the existing Valcom speakers and amplifiers. It must also support analog and VoIP telephone paging and store a minimum of 25 pre-recorded messages that can be played on demand or on a schedule. Quotes are due by August 13, 2024, and the award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. The period of performance is from August 15, 2024, to August 14, 2025.

This contract opportunity is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses with a NAICS code of 238210 and a $19 million size standard. The current PA system is a Valcom Multipath system, but the government will not be retaining any existing equipment. The contractor will be responsible for providing all new equipment, labor, and services required to deliver the upgraded PA system that meets the government's requirements.

New Boston SFS needs a PA system that can receive Common Alert Protocol (CAP) messages from BDOC computer (Windows 10) and our current version of BlackBerry AtHoc emergency notification (v7.2.1) which is a program used to notify personnel in case of emergency. The system must integrate with all current Valcom speakers and amplifiers. The system must be able to support analog and VoIP telephone paging. Must be able to store at a minimum 25 recorded messages and play those messages on demand and on a schedule from BDOC computer.

The current PA system is a Valcom Multipath system powered by a V-C6124P Valcom power supply. Valcom speakers are all self-amplified and they are in each building with PA capabilities and are powered by a VP-6124 in each building. All buildings receive audio from Valcom Multipath in building 100 Rm 140. An analog signal leaves the Valcom Multipath and enters a VIP-802 media converter in the same room which converts the signal to digital. Digital signal travels to distant end and is received by another VIP-802 which converts the signal back to analog and goes to the speaker. Speaker models include V-9022A, V-1030C, V-1920C, and V1038-B.
