About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey for toner and printer consumables through its Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Supplies and Supplies (SAVES) program. The solicitation seeks potential vendors capable of providing comprehensive printer consumables for the agency, with a focus on identifying industry best practices and gathering planning information. The procurement will be Brand Name or Equal and involves a one-year base period with four potential one-year option periods, targeting an award in February 2026. Interested vendors must submit detailed responses by May 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET, including capability descriptions, company information, business size status, and verification of active SAM registration. Evaluation criteria will center on vendors' ability to meet the technical requirements outlined in the draft Statement of Work, with particular emphasis on delivery capabilities, product range, and customer service.
The market survey currently has no specific set-aside designation, with the acquisition strategy to be determined based on market survey responses. The anticipated NAICS code is 325992 for Photographic Film, Paper, Plate, and Chemical Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,500 employees. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract will cover printer consumables across the 48 continental United States and potentially include overseas (OCONUS) delivery options. The procurement requires vendors to maintain a 98% on-time delivery rate, provide a web portal for order tracking, and offer original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products with potential non-OEM substitutions. The FAA will expect comprehensive reporting, including semimonthly invoicing and monthly activity reports, with an emphasis on customer service and a robust recycling process for used consumables.
