The solicitation requires contractors to perform quarterly and annual testing of fire alarm systems, sprinklers, smoke detectors, notification devices, fire pumps, kitchen suppression systems, and fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards. Qualified vendors must have technicians with NICET Level II certification in Fire & Sprinkler systems, with at least one technician on-site during business hours. The solicitation is classified under NAICS category 561621 for Security Systems Services and is not specifically set aside, though it appears to have strong preference for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The contract will cover a base period from April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026, with four potential one-year option periods extending through March 31, 2030. The current device inventory encompasses approximately 3,901 components, including 3,279 fire alarm system devices and 622 sprinkler system components across multiple buildings. The incumbent contractor was holder of contract 36C25220C0133, and the new contract will utilize various fire alarm system equipment including Square D and GE panels, 1,026 fire extinguishers, 63 hydrants, and 7 ANSUL kitchen suppression systems.
