About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory is seeking proposals for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract titled "Aerospace Materials Processing, Performance and Characterization (AMPPAC)". The primary objective of this program is to research, assess, develop, test, evaluate, prototype, demonstrate, and transition technologies that support the processing, behavior characterization, and performance prediction of advanced aerospace materials. Key technical thrust areas include multiscale physics-based modeling, enviro-thermo-mechanical characterization, AI/ML-assisted performance prognosis, and high-performance computing. Proposals are due by June 10, 2024 and the anticipated contract award is in October 2024. The total IDIQ ceiling is $97 million.
This solicitation is not set aside for any specific business size or category. The government anticipates awarding up to four IDIQ contracts. The work will primarily be performed at the Air Force Research Laboratory facilities at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, with some activities potentially conducted at contractor or partner facilities. The contract will require access up to the Top Secret/SCI level, and the contractor must comply with all applicable security requirements.
