About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command's 7th Contracting Squadron seeks 10 pad-mounted KVA ABB transformers with quotes due September 24, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. CDT. This is a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS 335311 (Power, Distribution, and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing) with an 800-employee size standard, and ABB brand is mandatory with no substitutions permitted.

The requirement comprises three line items: one 300 KVA 3-phase transformer, four 150 KVA 3-phase transformers, and five 100 KVA single-phase transformers, all per detailed salient characteristics. Place of performance is Abilene, Texas. The procurement is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation under FAR Part 12 procedures with Firm-Fixed Price terms, FOB Destination, and NET 30 default payment terms. Offerors must submit signed quotes via email to Jeury.virgen_carrillo@us.af.mil and trevor.finch.1@us.af.mil, including specification sheets matching brand-name characteristics and a proposed delivery period in days after date of contract; no offeror who fails to specify delivery time is eligible for award.

Award will be made to the responsible offeror providing best value through trade-off analysis of technical acceptability, delivery time, and price; faster delivery schedules may justify higher pricing. Funds are not presently available; the Government's obligation is contingent upon appropriated funds becoming available. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation at any time without reimbursing offerors for costs. No extension to the deadline is available due to end-of-fiscal-year constraints. Amendment 2, issued September 22, 2026, added questions to the Q&A document; Amendment 1, issued September 21, 2026, updated line item descriptions and attached the initial questions and answers.
