About this file

This is a Vendor Questions and Answers document providing clarifications on the solicitation for 10 Pad Mounted KVA ABB Transformers (Solicitation Number FA466126Q0111) issued by the 7th Contracting Squadron, Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command. The document addresses three vendor inquiries regarding product specifications and submission requirements.

The document clarifies that ABB transformers are the sole acceptable brand due to the brand-name nature of the solicitation, and no alternate brands meeting technical specifications will be considered. It confirms that no extension to the submission deadline can be granted due to end-of-fiscal-year time constraints. Additionally, the document resolves a discrepancy in the specifications by confirming that the correct single-phase low voltage requirement is 240/120V, not 208/120V as incorrectly listed in the quotation template; 208/120V applies only to three-phase configurations. These clarifications ensure vendors understand the strict technical and brand requirements, as well as the firm deadline for quote submission via email.

Vendor Questions

1. Could an alternate brand that meets the technical specifications of ABB transformers be accepted?

a. Due to the sole brand nature of this solicitation, ABB transformers are the only acceptable brand.

2. Can there be a two-week extension placed for quote submission?

a. Due to the end of the fiscal yeartime constraints, no extension can be granted at this moment.

3. The salient characteristics attachment lists the single phase low voltage side as 240/120V while the quotation template lists it at 208/120V. I believe this mistake is only in the template since 240/120V is the appropriate single phase voltage with 208/120V being three phase specific. Just need clarification

a. Yes, the correct voltage needed is 240/120V for 1ph.
