About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command, through the 30th Force Support Squadron, is soliciting quotes for audio equipment installation and sound system upgrade services at the Pacific Coast Center located at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The project encompasses removal of outdated audio equipment and installation of a modern, integrated audio-visual system featuring Crestron control equipment, Shure wireless microphones, Saros ceiling and exterior speakers, and associated networking infrastructure. Key requirements include completing all installation and programming work by August 31, 2026, with the contractor responsible for mounting equipment, configuring all systems, and testing functionality across multiple facility spaces including ballrooms, a warrior room, a gamer lounge, cafe, and heritage room. The Government will award to the lowest priced quote that is technically acceptable, evaluating price as the primary factor followed by the lowest-priced offeror's technical capability against Statement of Work requirements. Critical deadlines include questions due by 1:00 PM PDT on Thursday, April 9, 2026, and quotations due by 1:00 PM PDT on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with anticipated award by May 1, 2026.
This is a 100 percent small business set-aside with a size standard of 750 employees, classified under NAICS code 334310 and PSC code 5965. No incumbent contractor is identified in the solicitation materials. The Government has not disclosed a specific budget ceiling or award value, though it has advised that funds are not currently available and contract obligation is contingent upon appropriated funds becoming available. The estimated performance period is one month, from August 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026, with place of performance at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Lompoc, California. The solicitation involves two primary line items: removal and installation services for audio equipment (labor) and procurement of specified audio equipment outlined in the Salient Characteristics attachment, with the Government furnishing approximately 79 units of equipment already purchased and awaiting installation by the contractor.
