SUMMARY OF WORK
PART 1 GENERAL
1.1 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
The general description below is given to indicate the approximate scope of this project only. It does not limit the work required under the project drawings and specifications.
Building 130:
Building 130 is an existing eight position shelter that currently supports the F-16 beddown at the Vermont Air National Guard Base. This shelter will be modified as required to support the F-35 JSF beddown. Modifications will include but are not limited to adding hangar doors, providing power and preconditioned air at each aircraft position. All modifications for Building 130 will be done to ensure compliance with the F-35 FRD and all applicable UFCs,Codes, and standards.
Building 131:
Building 131 is an existing shelter that currently supports the F-16 beddown at the Vermont Air National Guard Base. This shelter will be modified as required to support the F-35 JSF beddown. Modifications will include but are not limited to providing 270VDC power, preconditioned air, and overall building HVAC,replacing existing roof, exterior siding and adding a new roof access ladder. The base bid work related to the roof access ladder includes providing a new exterior roof access ladder (there's no existing ladder). Note that there is an optional item to provide a new interior roof access ladder and roof hatch. In this case, the exterior ladder included in the base bid is not required, and the optional bid item represents the incremental cost of providing the interior work over the exterior work of the base bid. All modifications for Building 131 will be done to ensure compliance with the F-35 FRD and all applicable UFCs, Codes, and standards.
Building 132:
Building 132 is an existing shelter that currently supports the F-16 beddown at the Vermont Air National Guard Base. All modifications for Building 132 will be done to ensure compliance with the F-35 FRD and all applicable UFCs, Codes, and standards.
SECTION 01 11 00 Page 2
Building 160 and 360:
