Questions & Answers
Solicitation W912LP-17-R-0002 Phase II
Project No. VSSB099014, Project Title: Consolidated Support Functions (CSF), Sioux City, Iowa
Q1. When opening the CAD files, we receive a message indicating there are some missing reference files. I have listed the missing reference files below. Please review to determine if these file are essential to the RFP.
A1. The "_1.ecw", "image 2014 close up.tif", and "Aerial-Woodbury-4in.dwg" referenced files are aerial photography and are extremely large. They will be provided, but will have to be on a memory drive / DVD. The "boring locations to stake.pdf" file is a reference used to stake out boring locations, but will be provided also. Files to be available at "Interim Interview" meeting.
Q2. Has the project limit boundary been defined or is that up to the proposing contractor to determine?
A2. Site Limits are as indicated in the Project Requirements Manual, Part 3, Section 3.1-A Site & Exterior Facilities, sub-paragraph E. 1). As noted in this section, utility connections can be extended beyond these limits. Temporary Facilities are addressed in Project Requirements Manual, Part 2, Section -1 50 00 Temporary Facilities.
Q3. Reference the Preliminary Topographic Survey Drawing 2: The existing grade lines do not extend to Discovery Blvd to the West of the existing building. Is there a reason these are not shown?
A3. It is assumed the street in question is "Halsey Street" along the west side of the site (Discovery Blvd is a public roadway north of the Air Base). The provided site plan pdf and AutoCAD file in Part 4 Appendix Section 4.1-B are the extent of survey available as part of the Project Requirements Manual.
As stated in Part 4 Appendix Section 4.1-B, paragraph A-2), the successful Design Builder awarded the Project shall perform their own topographical survey and utility survey.
