3.10.4 OSHA GUIDANCE “COVID-19 – Control and Prevention – Construction Work”

Refer to the following website https://www.osha.gov/SLTC/covid-19/construction.html to assist with developing your COVID-19 Plan. Remain alert of changing outbreak conditions, including as they relate to community spread of the virus and testing availability, and implement infection prevention measures accordingly. Assess the hazards to which your workers may be exposed; evaluate the risk of exposure; and select, implement, and ensure workers use controls to prevent exposure. Conducting a job hazard analysis can help you to determine whether work activities require close contact (within 6 feet) between workers and customers, visitors, or other members of the public.

Person Under Investigation (PUI) Contact identification:

1. What activities have you’ve been involved in within the last 72 hours?

2. What areas have you visited on post within the last 72 hours?

3. What areas have you visited off post within the last 72 hours?

4. Have you been in contact with anyone within the past 72hrs (family members, work colleagues, friends, or health care providers, etc.)?

List all contacts and their phone numbers: Efforts should be made to identify every listed contact and to inform them of their contact status, what it means, the actions that will follow, and the importance of receiving early care if they develop symptoms. Contacts should also be provided with information about prevention of the illness. In some cases, quarantine or isolation is required for high risk contacts, either at home, or in hospital.
