About this file
This document provides details for a federal solicitation seeking dredging services for two harbor maintenance projects in Hawaii. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District is soliciting proposals to conduct maintenance dredging of accumulated sediments at Kaunakakai Harbor on Molokai and Kahului Harbor on Maui, restoring both harbors to their authorized depths to ensure safe vessel navigation. For Kaunakakai Harbor, an estimated 35,000 cubic yards of material will be dredged by mechanical clamshell and transported to the Kahului Offshore Disposal Site; for Kahului Harbor, 158,000 cubic yards will be dredged with depths varying up to 25 feet and material disposed at the same site. The combined estimated period of performance is 18 months. Evaluation will be based on experience, past performance, and technical approach on a lowest priced technically acceptable basis between $5-10 million. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses in NAICS code 237990 with at least 40% self-performance required.
