Please confirm.

No salvaged items of historical purpose.

38 Existing concrete slabs have various existing finishes. In some cases they are only sealed or painted in others they have flooring including some that appear to be epoxy coated or thin-set skim-coated. Whereas all floor finishes are specified as CONC-1 “Sealed Concrete” is the expectation that we are simply repairing cracks/defects, washing/preparing the surface and sealing the existing surface whatever it may be? Or will existing coatings be removed and the concrete resurfaced to facilitate sealing?

See additional notes on Revised Sheets AD101 through AD105, per Am-0004.

39 In reference to EFS or EIFS shown on page A-001 we find no other reference in the drawings as to where this should occur and request clarification if it is required in this phase of work.

Please clarify whether the interior walls are to receive any skim coat plaster finish prior to painting and if this is the intended application of EFS or EIFS and where specifically this is to occur if at all.

See additional notes on Revised Sheet A-503, Detail A3, per Am-0004.

41 The existing concrete water tank and existing raised water tank (behind buildings 121 and 133) are referenced on sheet CD101 to be demolished as part of this contract, however, these items did not appear to be present during the site visit.

Please confirm that these items were previously removed and therefore will not be included in this contract.

See Revised Sheet CD101, per Am-0004.

42 General Note 1 on sheet A-002 indicates that the contractor is to provide materials and finishes to match the existing HQ building on site. In order to ensure an approved match to the existing, please provide the manufacturers utilized for materials and finishes from the basis of design and/or previous projects (i.e. CMU, windows, doors, louvers, standing seam metal roofing, soffit panels, etc.).

Contractor to follow the plans and specifications for this solicitation.

The note is provided mainly to prevent damaging the existing concrete.

Conduits embedded in CMU and new slabs shall not interfere with reinforcing steel.

44 The COSA and Disposal Site Notes on sheet GI005 indicate that this contract will be required to share laydown and disposal areas with other concurrent contractors.

Notes on the same sheet refer to limits of 15,500 SF for construction laydown and another 15,500 SF for disposal areas. Please clarify if these area sizes are to be exclusive to this contract or if these specified areas will also be used by the other contractors?
