At least 48 hours prior to constructing the panel or panels, submit written notification to the Contracting Officer. Do not build-in mock-up panels as part of the structure;
locate mock-up panels where directed. Construct portable mock-up panels or locate in an area where they will not be disrupted during construction.
1.3.1.3 Mock-Up Panel Composition
Show full color range, texture, smoothface banding, and bond pattern of the masonry work. Demonstrate mortar joint tooling; grouting of reinforced vertical cores, collar joints, bond beams, and lintels; positioning, securing, and lapping of reinforcing steel; positioning and lapping of joint reinforcement (including prefabricated corners); and cleaning of masonry work during the construction of the panels. Also include installation or application procedures for anchors, wall ties, CMU control joints, flashing, and weeps. Steel and back-up framing exterior sheathing, rigid insulation, air/water barrier, thru-wall flashings, and other elements of a complete exterior wall assembly. Include a a masonry bonded corner. Mock up panel to include a typical window opening with window, head and sill flashing, sealants, steel lintel, precast sill units. When the panel represents reinforced masonry, include a 2 by 2 foot opening placed at least 2 feet above the panel base and 2 feet away from all free edges, corners, and control joints. Provide required reinforcing around this opening as well as at wall corners and control joints.
1.3.1.5 Mock-Up Panel Purpose
The completed panels is used as the standard of workmanship for the type of masonry, windows, and exterior wall assembly components represented. Do not commence masonry work until the mock-up panel for that type of masonry construction has been completed and approved. Protect panels from the weather and construction operations until the masonry work has been completed and approved. Perform cleaning procedures on the mockup and obtain approval of the Contracting Officer prior to cleaning the building. After completion of the work, completely remove the mock-up panels, including all foundation concrete, from the construction site.

MCT-1 Carpet tile must be field installed and comply with the following:
a. Installation method on level surfaces must allow carpet tile to be easily removed and replaced in the field and must be installed in accordance with manufacturer's recommended installation instructions.
b. Install AF-2 carpet tile in a ashlar random pattern. Refer to Sheets I-105, 106, 107, 108 for installation pattern. Install MCT-1 in an ashlar pattern using adhesive tabs.
c. Install carpet tile on secure and level surfaces offset from the access floor grid with a manufacturer approved odor-free adhesive tab system.
d. For AF-2 only AF-1, install carpet tile on secure and level surfaces with the access flooring manufacturer's recommended installation method and components for a one to one alignment with floor panels (one carpet tile to one floor panel);
equal to Tate PosiTile. This installation method requires the removal of only one carpet tile to access one raised access panel. Carpet tile size for a one-to-one installation must be slightly smaller than a standard 24 inch by 24 inch tile, coordinate required size with the raised access flooring manufacturer.
Factory applied carpet tile with perimeter edge strip and field applied one to one carpet tile installation over raised access floor panels with permanent or releasable adhesive are not acceptable installation methods.

3.15.1 Proof Rolling
It is recommended that proof-rolling be performed on subgrade areas beneath buildings and pavements and shall be performed prior to any filling or compaction work being started. Proof-rolling shall be performed to identify isolated areas of very loose or very soft materials. Proof-rolling shall be performed under the observation of the COR. Stop proof-rolling if unusual or unanticipated subsurface conditions are encountered, such as ground waving or pumping. See the ‘Unstable Materials’ section below for more information.
a. Site Grading Areas to be Lowered (Cut): Proof-roll after the sub-grade has been cut to the proper grade.
b. Site Grading Areas to be Filled: Proof rolling is performed following the completion of stripping and undercutting and prior to fill placement.
c. Equipment: Steel-wheeled vibratory and/or pneumatic-tired equipment, with a minimum weight of 8 tons to a maximum of 10 tons is recommended in the proof rolling process 20 ton (minimum weight) vibratory smooth roller.
The proof rolling equipment is operated in a systematic manner so that the number of passes over all areas to be proof rolled can be readily determined and recorded. A minimum of four (4) complete passes is recommended. A complete pass is considered that stage in the rolling procedure when the entire surface being rolled has been in contact with the tires. Operate equipment at speeds between 3 and 5 miles/hour, in a cross pattern with each pass of the equipment, is perpendicular to the direction of the equipment in the previous pass.
Notify the Contracting Officer a minimum of 3 days prior to proof rolling.
Perform proof rolling in the presence of the Contracting Officer. Undercut rutting or pumping of material as directed by the Contracting Officer and replace with fill and backfill] select material.
