a. Grading and Evaluation plan. Academic subject matter is tested on a "GO/NO GO" basis for each Criterion Test (CT) IAW USAACE 350-15, Academic Criterion Testing. Students are required to pass each CT to the established standard in order to graduate. CTs should be graded as "GO/NO GO" for each scorable unit. Each CT will consist of one or more scorable units. Each scorable unit will have one or several test items, scenarios, or performance requirements derived from the actions, conditions, and standards of the Terminal Learning Objective/Enabling Learning Objective (TLO/ELO). Students must correctly perform and/or answer a predetermined number of actions and/or questions to receive a "GO" on each scorable unit. The standards for the scorable units are derived from the TLO/ELO standards of each lesson evaluated per scorable unit. In order to receive an overall "GO" on a CT, the student must receive a "GO" on each scorable unit. The minimum percentage grade of each scorable unit is fixed between 70 and 100 percent as specified in the examination and assessment instructions.
b. Flight training. Grading and evaluations will be conducted IAW USAACE Regulation 350-16, The Uniform Flight Grading System, 110AB SOP, Aviation Resource Training System (ARTS) Student Grading Procedures Guide. The standard for each task selected to be evaluated is established in the UH- 72A Aircrew Training Manual (Training Circular 3-04.21) and supplemented in this CMP. Flight deficiency eliminations will be administered IAW USAACE Regulation 350-20.

(2) Academic Training. Systems, Graduate, and Night vision academics. All examinations are closed book performance-based written tests. Students must answer a series of multiple-choice questions covering material presented as depicted in the preceding EXAMINATION TABLE.
d. Scoring less than 100% on Emergency procedure steps which shall be performed immediately without reference, and 90% of all other items/steps on the Limitations and Emergency Procedures Examination or less than 80% on the OEM RFM Examination is a failure and suspends flight training. The retest for a failed record examination shall occur on the next training day. Failure of a record examination retest initiates the process for academic deficiency elimination.
d. Counseling procedures. Student counseling during training will be documented using USAACE Form 74, Counseling Slip, IAW the 110AB SOP . The instructor and the course Officer in Charge (OIC) will counsel students who fail any examination. They will discuss with the student the cause of the failure and any re-training to be administered. If conduct that is unbecoming is displayed during attendance at this course, the course OIC will appropriately counsel the student. A determination will be made on a case-by-case basis for further action by the chain of command. Further action could result in academic probation, dismissal from the course, and/or UCMJ action.
(1) Flight training.
a. All flight evaluations are performance-based tests and are scorable units for this course.
The individual tasks selected for evaluation will be graded with a "A, B, C, N, DM."
b. The UH-72A Limitations and Emergency Procedures Examination is a closed book examination. Examination will be administered by training Day #10.
c. The UH-72A (BK 117 C-2) Rotorcraft Flight Manual (RFM) Examination is open book and given as homework to be graded and discussed during class.
(1) Honor Code.
(a) The Honor Code is in effect for all formal and informal examinations and evaluations.
(b) The instructor administering the first examination to a class will instruct the class on the Honor Code prior to the examination.
f. Challenging training. Students may not challenge any of the required training.
g. Graduation requirements. The student must receive a "GO" on all evaluations and examinations in order to graduate from this course.
(c) Students will not communicate with each other by any means during an examination.
(d) Upon completion and submission of answer sheets, students will leave the examination area and will not return to the area until the termination of the examination.
(2) Training absences will be administered IAW USAACE Regulation 350-20.
(3) Student conduct at training and off duty will be IAW USAACE Regulation 350-20.
(4) Student conduct, as it applies to the classroom will be IAW USAAVNC 350-4, Classroom Management.
TOC Description of Training 1 Training will be conducted in the UH-72A Aircraft and the UH-72A Flight Training Device
(FTD).
2 Student performance will be considered unsatisfactory when a task is not performed within the standards IAW the UH-72A ATM or an unsafe condition exists that necessitates the instructor taking the controls.
3 Proficiency progression: Will be discussed in detail with the students during the 1st flight line daily brief.
Proficiency Progression Points (P3s) are established for each task. The P3 hour levels indicate the point at which a student should perform that task to at least a C proficiency level. Students will not be downgraded on their overall daily grade for not meeting the standard on tasks whose P3s were not yet met. A Proficiency Evaluation is required when a student receives three "U" daily grades out of five consecutive graded periods. A Proficiency Evaluation may also be given for a student who fails to show sufficient progress.
To permit sufficient practice by the RSP to achieve proficiency progression points (P3) events, tasks will be introduced by the IP at the appropriate time. The recommended sequence for demonstrating tasks is provided in the Flight Period Outline annotated with an "I" for Introduce. "P" indicates when a task will be P3 at the end of the flight event. "E" indicates which tasks will be on that evaluation.
In general, once technical tasks have reached P3, they remain P3 for the course duration under all modes of flight.
4 The RSP will receive training in the left and right seat. The assigned IP will familiarize the student with restricted areas, no-fly areas, corridor system, and SOP requirements. The assigned IP is ultimately responsible for corridor navigation, SOP requirements, and avoidence of noise sensative areas.
5 The flight evaluation will be in accordance with the flight evaluation requirements section of this FTG.
6 The UH-72 AQIPT is a proficiency based course. No minimum flight hours are required for completion. All flight tasks will be performed. To allow for the advanced student, flight task instruction may be completed prior to the flight period indicated. CPT training may be performed from either the left or right seat.
7 FLIGHT LINE SUPPLEMENT: The purpose of the Flight Line Supplement is to provide the students with a source of consolidated information to enhance and highlight necessary information for training. If a descrepancy exists between the Flight Line Supplement and any official publication the official publication will take precedence.

FLIGHT EVALUATION REQUIREMENTS
Topics and guidance are listed in the UH-72A Supplemental Information Guide of this CMP listed under "Guidance for Flight Training and Evaluation of Oral Topics".
Oral Evaluation
Structure & Requirements
Flight evaluations - will be conducted IAW this Flight Training Guide and the UH-72A ATM, to determine the examinee's ability to perform duties of a flying and non-flying pilot. The recommended procedure for conducting the flight evaluation is for the evaluator to assume the role of the non-flying pilot, while allowing the examinee to function as a flying pilot. At times during the evaluation, the evaluator will assume the role of the flying pilot to evaluate the student’s ability to perform certain emergency procedures required of the non-flying pilot. During the IP(T) Evaluations, roles will be reversed where the student is evaluated as an instructor/evaluator. The evaluation will be administered for final designation as a pilot in the UH-72A. The evaluation sequence contains tasks/procedures used in the various operational areas of aviation missions. The mandatory tasks/procedures to be evaluated are listed under the flight performance test; however, any task listed in the Flight Training Guide may be selected at the discretion of the evaluator.
Grading/scoring is IAW USAAVNC Regulation 350-16, "Uniform Flight Grading System."
Successful accomplishment of each task is graded at an DM (Demo), A, B, C or N (not to standard) level for training purposes. Tasks on evaluations will be graded as "S" Satisfactory or "U" Unsatisfactory. Students who do not meet the minimum standards of performance for tasks being evaluated will receive a "U" for that task and a "U" grade for the overall flight evaluation.
Basic Qualities (BQ) are observed during the task grading process, evaluators will identify certain personal characteristics of students that contribute to or detract from the performance of these tasks. For the purposes of the flight grading system, there are three categories of BQs: mental, physical, and emotional.
NOTE: There is no evaluation for the IPT Substage CPT-IOT, however ALL student IPs must complete this training when available.
Evaluation Sequence Evaluation sequencing will be conducted IAW Chapter 3, paragraph 3-4 of the UH-72A
ATM TC 3-04.21
The evaluation day, tasks selected for evaluation can be found in the flight training outline, listed in each stage of training.
There are 2 Stages and 8 Substages in this course, 7 Substages have flight evaluations.
The student must pass each required Substage Evaluation IAW the requirements as indicated in the IP Training and Qualification Requirements Table.

TERRAIN FLIGHT TASK/TRAINING GUIDANCE:
Parent Task 1040
Subtask 1040.01
Perform Visual Meteorological Conditions Takeoff
Determine the takeoff direction by analyzing the tactical situation, wind, long axis of the takeoff area, and the lowest obstacles. Select reference points to assist in maintaining the takeoff flight path. Coordinate the collective and cyclic controls as necessary to establish a climb angle that will clear any obstacles in the takeoff path with the pedals and once the obstacles are cleared, smoothly adjust the flight controls to transition to the terrain flight mode.
Maintain PWR to clear obstacles as required and aircraft alignment in direction of takeoff until transitioning to appropriate terrain flight mode.
Perform Terrain Flight Takeoff (Technique)
Apply the appropriate standards and guidance for task 1040 as indicated in the UH-72A ATM TC 3-
04.21 in coordination with the following criteria to successfully perform the terrain flight takeoff technique.
The P* (pilot on the controls) will remain focused primarily outside the aircraft during the maneuver. The P* will direct the other crewmember to maintain visual reference outside the aircraft to assist in clearing and will ensure that the aircraft is cleared and select reference points to assist in maintaining takeoff flight path. The P* will announce initiating the takeoff and whether the takeoff is from the ground or from a HVR and will also announce intentions to abort or alter the takeoff.
The P (pilot not on the controls) will maintain…
