About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to the renovation of Building 32 at the US Army Natick Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Massachusetts. The RFI seeks clarification on various mechanical, plumbing, and related construction details for CLIN 002 of the solicitation, which is identified as a design-build effort by the contractor. The government provides responses indicating that the mechanical and plumbing work is to be designed and installed by the contractor, with some additional guidance on requirements such as the use of Carrier controls, compliance with Massachusetts plumbing code, and the need for grease traps and backflow preventers. The related federal contract opportunity is a small business set-aside solicitation for the overall renovation of Building 32, with CLIN 0001 currently funded and CLIN 0002 pending additional funding.
