1. Will there be restricted access to the location for any reason due to surrounding operations?

Response: You will have full access.

2. Are there plans/drawings for the Reflective ceiling for this project?

3. Please provide roof plan.

4. General Note 11 states “REMOVE AND DISPOSE THE EXISTING INTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM. DEMOLITION INCLUDES 2'x4', 1'x4' FLUORESCENT

FIXTURES, EXIT SIGNS, TWIN HEAD EMERGENCY INCANDESCENT

FIXTURES, WALL SWITCHES, LIGHTING CONTROLS, ETC. REFER TO E-3 FOR

QUANTITY AND LOCATION”. Please provide the missing Electrical drawings.

5. General note number 2 references technical exhibit C. Please provide technical exhibit C.

6. provide locations to be grout filled identified on drawings.

7. Has any existing floor material been tested for hazardous material?

Response: See RFI# 21.

8. Architectural key notes does not show windows to be removed in rooms 2,6, and 10 on

D-101. Will these windows be removed?

Response: See revised drawings.

9. States that interior walls shall be patched and fireproofed as required to maintain the integrity of the partition. Please identify wall partitions that will be considered fire rated.

10. States that personnel shall be briefed on haul routes. Please provide haul routes.

Response: Contractor shall determine there own hauling route. Contractor shall use

Clarke Rd for inspection.

11. References that architectural drawings will be used in conjunction with civil, structural, electrical, plumbing. Please provide structural and civil drawings.

12. please provide a floor plan with dimensions and details

13. Please provide a door/frame and hardware schedule.

14. Please provide wall partition types and dimension/finishes.

16. Drawing sheet D-101 GN 6 states to demo all ceilings but no details are provided for build back. Please provide a reflected ceiling plan.

17. please provide drawings showing locations for lighting, switches, fire alarm equipment, circuit routing and mechanical equipment locations and loads

18. Specifications call out fluorescent lighting. Wiil fluorescent lighting be allowed? If not, please provide specifications for required lighting.

19. Will a new electrical service entrance and MDP panels be required? If so, please provide drawings and specifications for service and MDP’s.

20. Please provide the as-built/record drawings for the existing construction.

21. Please provide the most recent Hazardous Material Survey/Record of Environmental

Concern (REC) for the building.

22. Is Abatement of hazardous materials (Asbestos or Lead) to be included in the

Contractor’s proposal? If so, please provide the specifications and a detailed scope of work.

Response: See RFI# 21.

23. During the Site Visit, water damage (rust) was observed on the structural steel framing in multiple locations and cracks in the concrete foundation were also observed. Are structural repairs to the structural steel or concrete foundation to be included in the

Contractor’s proposal? If so, please provide a detailed scope of work and any specifications associated with the work.

Response: No structural damage was observed, no repairs needed.

24. The referenced drawings require a 10-Ton Crane and Crane Rail. Has the structure been evaluated by an Engineer to verify the structure can support the crane? Please provide a location, specifications, and details on the required crane. Also, please provide any engineering details/calculations that have been produced for this requirement.

Response: A 10-ton crane and crane rail is not required.

25. Is this project fully funded?

Response: Subject to Availability of Funding

26. Do we need any engineer drawings for any part of work?

Response: No, provide shop drawings according to sheet S-001 note SS-11.

27. We need elevations for building to quote the spray foam portion.

Response: See revised drawings.

28. A-101 R-30 will be 4.3 nominal inches. Will there be studs greater than 4.3 inches in the office portions of the building and will they be covered with sheetrock or similar?

Response: See revised drawings.

29. Do we need to submit engineered design for windows?

Response: No

30. Is Cathodic Protection needed?

Response: No

31. Is there a finish schedule for this project?

Response: See revised drawings.

32. Is there a door schedule for this project?

Response: See revised drawings.

33. Regarding Sheet A-101, General Notes #10, what size are these “Stainless steel, 20GA, and motor Operation” overhead doors? Specifications show every type of door, vs.

drawings note saying doors as 20-gauge stainless steel curtains, motorized. Page 324 in

Specs, its calls for .025 Inch. 20-gauge is .0359 inch. Please advise if the stainless steel is

20-gauge is correct? Are the overhead doors insulated or non-insulated?

34. We recommend strongly against using locks on motorized doors, even with safety interlocks. The doors are secure without locking once the motor has closed and stopped running, locks are unnecessary.

35. Specs call for interior AND exterior 3 button controls, is this actually desired? Normally, exterior access to building is not through the overhead doors.

36. What dimensions are the overhead doors?

Response: See revised drawings.

37. What will be the desired voltage and phase for the electric operators for the doors?

Response: See revised drawings.

38. Is full building commissioning and/or HVAC commissioning needed?

Response: Yes

39. We see no telecommunication drawings, please provide.

Response: See revised drawings.

40. D-101 Note 7 says contractor to provide appropriate cable management. However, there is no comm going back.

Response: See revised drawings.

41. Regarding Sheet A-101, Window Schedule Note #3, are you requesting actual film or tinted glass?

Response: Tinted glass

42. Regarding the Roller Shades, calls for both fascia and cassette. Can't be both, it must be either or. In fact, we believe that is mentioned in a couple of other building specs.

43. Do you need a Dalt Test?

Response: Yes

44. Do you want 3rd party testing? If so, which ones?

Response: Only where specifications and drawings require.

45. Is a SWPPP needed?

Response: Only if over 1 acre.

46. Page A-101, General Note 16 says contractor shall install concealed Fastner Wall

Systems. On Note 15 says we are to supposed to spray entire inside of exterior walls. The question is: There is no detail showing the CMU being furred out. Was it your intent to spray directly on the CMU?

47. There is no details for a finished sheetrock ceilings. They are all to be demo’d. Does the

Govt. want the ceiling open to the deck?

Response: Ceilings are to be open to deck.

48. On A-101 There shows to be new walls. There is only one wall detail on page A-601.

This shows, CMU. Is it your intent that all walls are CMU?

49. On Page A-601, there is a detail for R-Panel. Please clarify if this is for the exterior

Walls?

Response: See revised drawings.

50. There is no paint schedule. We need to know what needs paint and what color.

Response: See revised drawings.

51. D-101, Note 5 says to demo floors. At the jobs site we saw one floor that needs to be demo’d; what would you like to do with the rest of the floor?

52. D-101 Keynote 7, States Windows should be framed in and covered. Please verify that windows openings in Canvas Repair, Storage Room and SVC Ser Office are to remain.

What material do you want them filled with?

53. D-101 for estimating purposes, should we bid installing a new main distribution panel?

Response: See revised drawings.

54. D-101 Note 4 says to demo all lighting. On E-101 shows no lighting to go back. We also don’t have a reflective ceiling plan.

55. Does the Govt. want lightening protection on the roof?

Response: No

56. Do we need a project sign?

Response: No

57. Please provide Hazmat survey.

58. In Specs 02 82 33.3 20, 3.1.1.6, the specs are very vague for eye-wash station in plumbing schedule P-101. Please provide specs for eye-wash station.

59. FEC shown on A-101. Spec? Size? Do we need to provide an extinguisher?

Response: See revised drawings.

60. A-101, Note 9, asks for seamless extruded gutters which are typically for residential applications. These types of gutters cannot be powder coated. You can get them in black.

Would Govt. consider box gutters, which are normally used on Ft Cavazos?

61. Is a Fire Suppression System needed?

Response: Yes, see revised drawings.

62. The electrical drawing is only showing 120-volt receptacles. Will we get complete drawings or is it our responsibility to design the remainder of it? If so then we would need to know of any special power requirements that would be needed along with Fire

Alarm and Mass Notification, and Lightning Protection.

63. Do you want any exterior work done, i.e. Bollards painted, striping, power washing?

Response: See revised drawings.

64. Per Spec 01 57 20.00 10, 3.12.4 Pesticide Treatment Plan is called out. Will this be required?

Response: Specifications only pertain to what is called out in the design drawings.

65. Page A-101 shows Cabinets, please provide details for that and countertop.

66. Is June 19th a Federal Holiday, it is not listed as so in the Specs.

Response: Yes

67. What are the CFMs on the vehicle exhaust. Do you want all six exhausts through the same exhaust fan or do you want them to have their own exhaust.

68. Do they want hose reels for vehicle exhaust.

Response: See revised drawings.

69. Please provide updated panel schedule for vehicle exhaust fans.
