How to Request a CAC card (2 of 2)
Once request is approved by the ITE sponsor (Gov’t representative for the program), TA verifies clearance in JPAS.
TA inputs above information into the Trusted Associate Sponsorship System (TASS) system, creating an application record within the system. TA is provided temporary ID and password for Applicant’s use.
TA forwards the ID and Password and URL of the TASS site with instructions to log on in order to complete an online form within 7 days. If applicant does not logon to TASS within 7 days, the process needs to start over again by the applicant and the TA will also need to repeat step 2.
3. Applicant log in TASS, changes the temporary password and provides personal information and submit the application
Applicant information goes back to TA for verification.
Once TA reviews, validates and approves the applicant’s information within TASS, the applicant receives an approval e-mail notification and proceeds to the nearest DEERS/RAPIDS office to be issued their CAC (The TA will relay to the contractor the location of the nearest DEERS/RAPIDS Office and instructions for CAC pick-up)
4. Applicant brings two forms of State and/or Federal ID (no company badges) along with the completed DD Form 2842 (if required) to their nearest Badge & Id office.
The most common types of IDs used are a State ID, driver's license, current college ID, Military ID and passport.
Expired CAC card must be turned in order to receive the new CAC card.
All contractor CAC cards, sponsored for the purposes of this solicitation, will need to be turned in to the Government or mailed to:
