This document contains questions and responses related to a solicitation for the manufacture of airframe modification kits. The solicitation seeks proposals from small businesses located in the Huntsville-Decatur-Albertville Combined Statistical Area to manufacture wiring harnesses, mechanical brackets, and procure and kit components according to technical data packages. Proposals are due by November 16, 2020 for an indefinite-quantity contract over five years. Manufacturers must employ a quality system certified to ANSI/ASQ/ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 and be capable of fabricating electrical and electronic assemblies per J-STD-001 Class 3 and IPC-A-610 Class 3. Tin whisker mitigation is required per GEIA-STD-0005-2 at control level 2B. Question: 1 AR (as required) is used throughout the drawing package. Is awardee providing these items or is it expected that the installation team will have? If required by awardee, quantities are needed. Cannot price or provide appropriately if not known.
USG Response:
Items marked AR are typically compounds, sealants, thread, webbing etc. where no quantities can be definitized.
Awardee should provide and should assess how much of the said part should be needed to apply where needed, as required.
Question: 2
CLIN 1001, 1051840-10
1051840 drawing tree shows 1052122 sub to drawing 1052117 However, 1052117 BOM does not include 1052122. Is this part required? If so, we recommend adding to the BOM.
USG Response:
In the Revision section of drawing 1052117 Rev 14, it states “REPLACED WASHERS (1052122-01) WITH
GROMMET (3MPU4).”
Question: 3 Drawing 1502122 is missing part numbers in the BOM. Is this part available from known source or does it have to be manufactured? If manufactured, need part numbers for individual parts.
USG Response:
Since 1052122-01 is replaced with grommet (3MPU4) is this part and drawing is no longer needed.
Question: 4
CLIN 1003, 1051783-10.

This is for the installation team, offeror is not responsible for providing 1052000-10 and 1052000-20.
Question: 5 CLIN 1005, 1051772-10. Same as 1003
This is for the installation team, offeror is not responsible for providing 1052000-10 and 1052000-20.
Question: 6 CLIN 1007, 1051772-30. Same as 1003
This is for the installation team, offeror is not responsible for providing 1052000-10 and 1052000-20.
Question: 7
CLIN 1009, 1051779-10
Item number 1 on this BOM, part number 1051773 contains a harness, part number 1051913.
The component list for 1051913 contains a completed harness, part number 1051898-10. If this harness is needed it should be moved up to the next level (should be on the BOM for 1051773).
The 1051898-10 is a subcomponent of the 1051913 harness assembly. 1051898-10 should NOT be called out as a separate item in the parts list for 1051773 because once it is built into the 1051913 it is no longer a standalone harness.
Question: 8 CLIN 1009 - Request drawing for ABC60692.
USG Response:
ABC60692 is proprietary and cannot be provided.
