About this file
This memorandum for file documents the contracting officer's responses to questions received regarding solicitation number W58RGZ-20-R-0063 for the manufacture of airframe modification kits. The solicitation requests proposals by November 16, 2020 for the indefinite quantity production of wiring harnesses, mechanical brackets, and procurement of items to assemble into kits for installation of Air Soldier System components on rotary wing aircraft. Acceptable quality standards include ANSI/ISO 9001 and tin whisker mitigation plans per GEIA-STD-0005-2 at control level 2B. The contracting officer's comments clarify that fabrication to IPC-A-610 Class 3 is not required for evaluation, IPC-A-620 Class 2 is acceptable for cable and wire harness assemblies, and state the periods that will be inserted for option terms. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal, AL issued the small business set-aside solicitation for interested manufacturers in the Huntsville-Decatur-Albertville Combined Statistical Area.
