About this file
This document is a request for proposal for the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle program. The Army is soliciting proposals for Phase 3 and 4 of the OMFV program, which includes detailed design, prototype build, and testing. Offerors must submit 3D CAD models and simulations of the vehicle, crew, and equipment in Jack and related file formats. The models must demonstrate crew tasks and include fully equipped digital human models. Proposals are due as instructed in the RFP document. Interested parties must request unclassified or classified information by email and include relevant organization and facility clearance details. The Army seeks to advance its OMFV effort through this solicitation process.

| a. Changed document title from “JackTM Model Format” to “Process Simulate”. |
The contractor will submit assembled JackTM compatible CAD models of the system, system crew, and the dismounts equipped with their 3D modeled PPE, individual equipment and system with full combat load. The System crew and dismounts will be provided as Attachments 0065 and 0066.
The Jack compatible CAD model file shall have the following file formats: .pss, .fig and .env. In addition to CAD file formats required above, .jt format files will also be submitted that contain the CAD geometry and human figure models that show how crew and squad tasks analyses were accomplished.
The .fig files will contain the following jointed and articulated subsystems:
1) turret rotation on the hull
2) all hatches, ramp, doors (if used) and ramp door openings, rotations and sliding movements (if used),
3) all ammunition boxes and lids to boxes and maintenance access panels
4) all seat, seat back and seat pan rotations to include joints that show fore, aft and vertical range of motions of the seat assemblies and H-point locations
5) all displays with associated jointed movements for displays that have adjustability or are designed to be stowed
6) vehicle weapons assembly, disassembly and movement i.e. feeder, feed shaft assemblies sweeps, manual firing crank handle hub sweep, azimuth and elevation wheel rotations and ammunition trays (removal or tilt).
The model shall also contain complete subsystems for full accommodation assessment to include foot rests, spall liners, HVAC ductwork, Automatic Fire Extinguishing System (bottles, hoses and outlet nozzles), cabling, intercom systems, heaters, hydraulic lines and reservoirs, individual weapons mounting, controls, display, interface, control panels, ammunition, all operational individual, section and platoon level equipment, weapons systems and other stowage and other subsystem components for a fully combat loaded system.
The .env files will contain all .pss files, articulated .fig files and the correctly postured and positioned 7 DHMs used to demonstrate how crew and squad tasks are accomplished with the confines of the vehicle to include turret access. The DHM’s should be correctly aligned in the seated position with hands and feet positioned on foot and hand controls, displays and footrests if applicable. For the driver’s crew station, the DHMs should also be correctly postured and positioned for closed hatch driving, open protected and out of hatch driving (if so designed). This includes .env files that show ammunition stowage for all weapon systems and how that stowage is accessed and loaded.
