3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

3.1. The Contractor shall perform all activities and operations to achieve and maintain energy conservation. The Contractor shall utilize energy efficient motors and equipment in any replacement or new procurement activity. The Contractor shall provide documentation of energy efficiency for all in-plant equipment replacement. Documentation shall include a comparison of energy efficiency with comparable equipment and calculations to indicate any increases or decrease in energy demands. The Contractor shall have an active Energy Conservation and Energy Management Program that reports and measures energy reduction progress. The Contractor shall identify future energy projects based on energy reduction, efficiency, and security. The Contractor shall provide a quarterly Energy Conservation and Energy Management Program Status Report IAW CDRL A087.

3.2. The Contractor shall maintain the electrical generating and distribution systems IAW National Electrical Code, manufacturer’s maintenance literature, applicable manuals, and local standards.
