Upon initial entry, the tank appeared to be in moderate condition with minor levels of corrosion, staining, and chalking along the floor and walls. The sediment was measured at 5" deep during the cleaning process. After cleaning we noticed more Staining, blistering, and uniform surface corrosion on both the floor and walls. At about the 6 Oclock there was a 2x2" rust nodule. There was no trash rack present on the Inlet/Outlet. The weld seem had some concentrated cell corrosion and could you some epoxy repair. The Cathodic protection entered the tank about the 9 Oclock. The 1" pipe the wires come through was plugged up with concentrated cell corrosion. The ladder appeared to be in fair condition, with staining, blistering, and concentrated cell corrosion. The overflow appeared to be in good condition, with minor staining. The hatch appeared to be in fair condition, with staining and corrosion on the hardware.
The Interior roof has large amounts of uniform surface corrosion.
float guide cable was fine, team replaced step off bracket to secure float level indicator.
We would like to thank you for choosing MIT diving, and we recommend having your tanks cleaned and inspected every three to five years.
Recommend one day epoxy repairs below water level.
spot prime repair rafters and spots on upper walls above water level as budget allows.
