About this file
This document details the technical specifications for an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Control (AECS), and Camera Installation project for a building. The installation involves multiple components:
Cameras include two exterior 270-degree cameras mounted at building corners to cover both sides and parking lots, and one interior fisheye camera. Wiring will run through conduits with CAT6 cables, with junction boxes and flex conduits at strategic points. The door access control system will be implemented across four doors, with multiple wire types (22/6, 18/2, 22/4) connecting various access control components like door strikes, card readers, push-to-exit buttons, and BMS (Building Management System) interfaces. Each door will have specific wiring configurations, including junction boxes on secure and unsecured sides, with tamper protection installed at junction boxes and Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor locations.

OVERVIEW
43. Due to no drawings for the data drops; Will there be any WAPs or Cameras? If so please provide those drawings. (Section/Sheet IT5.1)
- Advantor Panel / Pelco Switch
- PIR
- AECS Door
- IDS Door (BMS Only)
- Pelco Camera (270°)
CAMERAS
Conduit with 2 CAT6 wires will run through the wall (Green Line) to the exterior of the building and follow along the soffit. Corner 1 will have a 3-way junction box. One of the Cat 6 wires will attach to the camera via Flex conduit. The conduit with the last CAT6 wire will continue down the soffit to Corner 2. A junction box will be mounted to the corner with flex conduit attached to the camera. The interior cameras CAT6/Conduit will follow go through that hallway into the exterior office.
Cameras will be mounted to exterior corner of the building using Corner mounts.
Both Exterior Cameras will be 270°, so they will cover both sides of the building and 801/810 Parking lot. The interior camera will be a fisheye camera.
IDS / AECS
Wire will travel through conduit. At each PIR (red star) there would be a junction box installed, the PIR will be installed on the junction box. Any junction boxes will also have a tamper installed.
Door 1, 2 and 3 will be equipped with AECS. All three doors will have 5 wires ran to them. 1 x 22/6, 1 x 18/2, and 4 x 22/4. A door strike will be used on each door. This will require a 18/2 wire to be ran through the door casing to the lock jamb. A Flush mount single-gang box will need to be installed on the wall at the top right of the door on the secure side of the door. This will be an access box for the BMS. There will also need to be 2 single-gang boxes installed doorhandle height on the secure side. Both will have 22/4 wire ran to them. These will be for the push-to-exit and emergency bopper. On the opposite side of the door, on the unsecured side, a junction box will need to be installed on the wall.
This will be for the Card Reader. The 22/6 wire will be run to this junction box.
Door 4 will have 3 22/4 wires ran to it. A single-gang box will need to be installed SIDEWAYS above the center of the door on the wall. This will be for the BMS and tamper wires for both doors.
