About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers (Q&A) 43-45 for the W50S97-25-B-A002 Construct Network Control Center solicitation. The Q&A addresses three specific contractor inquiries: (1) a request for drawings related to wireless access points (WAPs) and cameras, (2) detailed questions about Antiterrorism/Force Protection doors and frames, including pressure ratings, performance specifications, and seating requirements, and (3) a request to modify a specific manufacturer certification requirement for telecommunications contractors.
The document also elaborates on contractor certification requirements, specifically detailing the need for telecommunications contractors to have Certified Installer Plus (CIP) certification, BICSI certifications, and optical fiber training. At least 30% of the installation and termination crew must be certified by BICSI and have optical fiber training. The certifications are described as standard industry certifications that require passing an exam, including CompTIA A+ (a general IT knowledge exam) and BICSI Installer Levels 1 and 2, which validate knowledge in information and communications technology (ICT) systems and structured cabling installation.

W50S97-25-B-A002 Construct Network Control Center Questions and Answers 43-45
43. Due to no drawings for the data drops; Will there be any WAPs or Cameras? If so please provide those drawings. (Section/Sheet IT5.1)
a. See BNCC Q-43 PDF
44. We’re having trouble getting the Antiterrorism/Force Protection Doors and Frames quoted from our manufacturer because of lack of specifics. Is there a specification available for the blast doors? If not, are we able to get answers for the following questions?
a. Pressure rating (PSI / PSF) and duration (psi-ms) OR standoff distance / weight charge (I or II). In addition to door specification, all new exterior doors and frames to meet Antiterrorism/force protection requirements from Section 3-11.1 of UFC 4-010-01.
b. How are the doors to perform after an occurrence? (Level of Protection) In addition to door specification, all new exterior doors and frames to meet Antiterrorism/force protection requirements from Section 3-11.1 of UFC 4-
10-01.
c. Are the doors seated or unseated? In addition to door specification, all new exterior doors and frames to meet Antiterrorism/force protection requirements from Section 3-11.1 of UFC 4-010-01.
45.Request this requirement be deleted. I believe this is a specific manufacturers certification (Legrand), but we didn’t recall seeing Legrand being a sole source requirement. If not deleted, request other manufacturers certification be used as a suitable substitute. For example, a “Certified Alliance Partner in Belden’s Installer Program.” And I expect each manufacturer has similar programs with slightly different standards.
