About this file
This document is Site Visit Minutes for federal contract solicitation W50S8R-26-Q-0037 conducted at the 179th Civil War (CW), Mansfield Ohio Air National Guard (ANG) on September 8, 2026. The site visit addressed two primary deliverables: base signage and gazebos.
For the base signage component, contractors were informed that only installation of new signs is required with no removal of existing signage. Signs must be mechanically fastened (no adhesive) to building exteriors comprised of brick, metal, or brick/metal combinations. The scope includes 22 buildings requiring 8 signs each (12 brick buildings, 9 metal buildings, and 1 brick/metal mix) and 4 buildings requiring 2 signs each (metal). Industry-standard signs meeting stated requirements are specified. For the gazebo component, three locations were identified for assembly: two grass areas (buildings B420A and B409) and one gravel area (B412). The statement of requirement was revised to specify that gazebos must provide anchoring points or ability to anchor structures, though no tie-downs or anchoring system is required to be supplied—only the capability for future anchoring. The contracting officer is Gordon Strom; all questions must be submitted in writing via email at gordon.strom.1@us.af.mil, with responses documented in SAM updates. Contractors are advised to confirm receipt of all Requests for Information submissions.
