The contractor is required to design, manufacture, and install non-reflective flush-mounted building number signs on 27 buildings base-wide, including removal of existing signage. The requirement includes eight copies each of signs for 23 buildings (numbered 102, 108, 110, 112, 114, 120, 164, 164A, 207, 403, 405, 407, 415, 420, 420A, 421, 500, 520, 522, 600, 602, 801, 803) and two copies each for four additional buildings (601, 805, 807, 809). All signs must meet UFC 3-120-01 guidelines and conform to specific technical specifications: standard aluminum construction measuring 8 inches in height by 16 inches in width, black background with white non-reflective lettering in Helvetica Neue 85 Heavy font, mounting brackets and hardware, wind speed resistance of 160 mph, and temperature exposure range from 85 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and installation services. All contractor personnel requiring base access must complete a Security Access Form submission for background check clearance and complete antiterrorism training, both accomplished post-award. While not mandatory, a site visit is highly encouraged due to project requirements, with FAR 52.237-1 applicable to contractors who choose not to attend.
