About this file
This is a Statement of Requirement for a federal construction/signage project issued by the Department of the Air Force, 179th Cyberspace Wing located at Mansfield Air National Guard Base, Ohio.
The project requires contractors to design, manufacture, and install non-reflective, flush-mounted building number signage on 26 buildings base-wide. Specifically, contractors must provide eight copies each of signs for 22 buildings (numbered 102, 108, 110, 112, 114, 120, 164A, 207, 403, 405, 407, 415, 420, 420A, 421, 500, 520, 522, 600, 602, 801, 803) and two copies each for four buildings (601, 805, 807, 809). All signs must meet UFC 3-120-01 guidelines and feature standard aluminum construction measuring 8 inches in height by 16 inches in width, with black backgrounds and white non-reflective lettering in Helvetica Neue 85 Heavy font. Signs must include mounting brackets and hardware and be capable of withstanding wind speeds up to 160 mph and temperature exposure ranging from 85 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit. The contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, and installation services. Personnel requiring base access must complete Security Access Forms for background clearance and complete antiterrorism training, both accomplished post-award. While a site visit is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged due to project requirements, with FAR 52.237-1 applying to contractors who choose not to attend.
