P D RESUFLOR 3725 Static Control Epoxy Coating is a high solids, two-component novolac epoxy coating used for static dissipative and conductive fl ooring systems. It is designed as a static dissipative coating over an insulative surface and as a conductive coating when used over a conductive primer.

A

• Two-component system for ease of use

• Good chemical resistance

• Dissipates static charge

• Conductive when used over conductive primer

T U RESUFLOR 3725 Static Control Epoxy Coating is used as a coating or topcoat over standard fl ooring systems to provide a static dissipative fl ooring system in the range of 106 to 109 ohms resistance. It is an ideal fl ooring fi nish in computer rooms, circuit board assembly areas, hangars and where highly sensitive electronic equipment is used regularly. Resufl or 3725 can be used as a conductive coating in the range of 25,000 to 106 ohms resistance when applied over a conductive primer (Resufl or Aqua 3424). Conductive fl ooring is required in fl ammable material handling areas, black powder storage areas, and other areas where highly explosive materials are present. Resufl or 3725 provides exceptional resistance to wear, abrasion and chemical attack from most common alkalis and acids.

L

• Slab on grade requires vapor moisture barrier

• Substrate must be structurally sound, dry and free of bond inhibiting contaminants

• During installation and initial cure cycle substrate and ambient air temperature must be at a minimum of 50ºF (10°C).

Substrate temperature must be at least 5ºF (3ºC) above the dew point (for lower temperature installation contact technical service).

• Strictly adhere to published coverage rates

• A conductive primer must be used with this product when being used as a conductive coating

• This coating though resistant, is not a guarantee against tire staining. Vehicular tires from cars and trucks to tractors and boat trailers are varied and have the potential to leave a stain under certain conditions. Place rubber mats or carpet pieces under the tires to avoid the issue.

S P Proper inspection and preparation of the substrate to receive resinous material is critical. Read and follow the “Instructions for Concrete Surface Preparation” (Form G-1) for complete details.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Inspect base coat prior to application of seal coat. Test surface resistance in accordance with NFPA 99. Resistance range should be less than 150,000 ohms when used as a conductive coating over a conductive primer. If deviation from this range occurs, consult your Sherwin-Williams representative immedicately.

2. Both Part A & B components of Resufl or 3725 must be pre-mixed to disperse conductive elements evenly throughout the resin. It is normal to have color variations even after premixing.

Premix 3725A (resin) and 3725B (hardener) separately, using a low speed drill and Jiff y blade. Mix for one minute and until uniform, exercising caution not to whip air into the materials.

3. Add 2 parts 3725A (resin) to 1 part 3725B (hardener) by volume.

Mix with low speed drill and Jiff y blade for three minutes and until uniform. Apply using a squeegee or short nap roller at a spread rate of 320 sq. ft. per gallon to yield 5 mils WFT. Allow to cure at least 24 hours before opening to light foot traffi c.

NOTE: 1. If applied too thick, the stipple size increases and roller lines may appear. 2. Two coats will be required to hide the Resufl or Aqua 3424 Conductive Black Primer. 3. For ESD applications use a pigmented primer similar in color to the topcoat to avoid "show through" of the substrate.

O I Packaging:

Part A: 1 gallon (3.8L) and 5 gallon (18.9L) containers Part B: 1 gallon (3.8L) and 5 gallon (18.9L) containers

Weight: 12 ± 0.2 lb/gal; 1.4 Kg/L mixed, may vary by color
