About this file
This document contains a justification for other than full and open competition for a federal contract solicitation. The solicitation is for a Munitions Storage Area expansion construction project at the 145th Airlift Wing in North Carolina. The project requires the installation of Alerton direct digital control equipment, as the existing Alerton systems at 145 facilities would not integrate with another manufacturer's equipment. The justification cites the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR Part 6.302-1, as Alerton is the only responsible source due to integration needs. Recent similar projects at the wing also involved Alerton installations. Solicitation W50S87-21-B-5003 will be issued as a small business set-aside and posted on SAM.gov.
