About this file
This document is a Submission Guide for the Sacramento County Coroner's Office Request for Proposal (RFP) for Indigent Remains and Deceased Body Transport services. The RFP details comprehensive proposal submission requirements for potential contractors interested in providing cremation, body storage, interment, and transportation services for decedents. Proposals must be submitted via OpenGov, with a strict requirement that all documents be included in a specific order (1-12) across pages 12-16 of the packet. The contract term is from March 1st, 2024, through June 30th, 2027, with an option to extend the agreement for two additional one-year periods. Contractors may submit proposals for either indigent remains or deceased body transportation services, or both.
The submission guide outlines extensive documentation requirements, including a proposal narrative describing the contractor's scope of work, expected outcomes, experience, organizational structure, and operational capabilities. Proposers must provide detailed information such as response times, fleet size, employee standards, training plans, financial statements, insurance certifications, and compliance with nondiscrimination and child support laws. Key submission components include a three-year work plan, organizational chart, mission statement, financial documentation, and various certifications. The RFP emphasizes the need for comprehensive, well-organized proposals that clearly demonstrate the contractor's ability to meet the Sacramento County Coroner's Office service requirements.
