About this file
This document is an Exhibit E Statement of Compliance with Nondiscrimination Laws for the Sacramento County Coroner's Office Indigent Remains and Deceased Body Transport Services Request for Proposal (RFP). The county is seeking qualified vendors to provide cremation, body storage, interment, and transportation services for decedents under a multi-year contract from March 1st, 2024, through June 30th, 2027, with an option to extend the agreement for two additional one-year periods. Contractors may submit proposals for either indigent remains services or deceased body transportation services, and are not required to bid on both.
The nondiscrimination exhibit outlines comprehensive requirements for potential contractors, emphasizing equal opportunity employment practices and prohibiting discrimination based on various protected characteristics including race, ancestry, marital status, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, and disability. Contractors must commit to maintaining an inclusive workplace, posting appropriate notices, and ensuring non-discriminatory treatment in all employment practices, service delivery, and program administration. The document provides detailed compliance mechanisms, including potential legal and fiscal remedies for violations, and requires contractors to maintain records demonstrating adherence to these nondiscrimination principles.
