About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a design-build project for an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Parking Pad at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas. The project involves designing and constructing approximately 65,000 square feet of new portland cement concrete (PCC) parking area with associated storm water drainage systems. The contractor will be responsible for complete design and construction, including professional engineering, site grading, utility installations, and adherence to specific design criteria from American Concrete Institute (ACI), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), and other relevant standards.
Key project specifications include installing a trench-style drain designed for heavy traffic, three precast storm water catch basins, and an 8-inch minimum concrete thickness. The project is a 100% HUBZone set-aside with an estimated value between $1-5 million. The total period of performance is 240 days after notice to proceed, with design submittals required at 30 and 60 days. The contractor must follow specific design review procedures, provide comprehensive documentation, and coordinate closely with the Dyess AFB Contracting Officer throughout the project. Notably, funds are not currently available, and the government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation.
